Libraries registered for this service receive announcements of New Titles added to our database throughout the year.
Customized profiles for individual selectors are established from a checklist of Dewey or Library of Congress classes, and Interdisciplinary subject areas.
These notices provide Minimal-level Acquisition Records (MINAR) which include :
LC Call Number
Dewey Classification Number
All records have been prepared with book-in-hand, except for very expensive titles or dissertations which are only published "on demand". Options offered for this service are :
E-FORMS : MINAR are provided free of charge every other week via email attachment in html format, or via FTP. Easily printable for review, this same selection file may be reviewed on our website through a URL link. To see how E-Forms are laid out, please click here.
The website list may be used for quick order entry.
PRINTED NOTICES : MINAR are provided on individually printed slips every month via regular mail.
To assist selectors, titles are coded to indicate their relative importance for the academic or research Library collection : one, two, or three asterisks are assigned to each title, with 3 *** indicating the highest level of importance. Our bibliographers comprehensively review multiple resources to identify all possible titles of interest to Libraries.
Selectors can choose to receive only the books showing the highest academic interest to their Library, thanks to this 3 *** system.
AUX AMATEURS DE LIVRES also provide these minimal-level records to OCLC's WorldCat database : to view our new titles in OCLC's WorldCat database according to your profile, please do not hesitate to contact us at : aal@auxam.fr.
To receive E-forms or printed notices, please feel free to email us : we will provide your Library with a Dewey or LC classes checklist, enabling selectors to select the subjects and interdisciplinary classes of their profile.
