Aux Amateurs de Livres International maintains a current database of over 400,000 titles, adding more than 9,000 new titles annually. From France, we select both French and English language titles of interest to libraries. French titles published in Francophone countries (Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, Africa and the Caribbean) also are included. Customers may easily access our database via our website and we also provide these minimal-level records to OCLC's Worldcat database.

To assist selectors of library materials, titles we select are coded to indicate the relative importance of each title for the academic or research library collection. One, two, or three asterisks are assigned to each title, with three indicating the highest level of importance. Our bibliographers comprehensively review multiple resources to identify all possible titles of interest to our clients.

NEW TITLE NOTICES

Customers registered for this service receive announcements of new titles added to our database throughout the year. Customized profiles for individual selectors are established by a checklist of Dewey or LC and/or Interdisciplinary subject areas.

These Notices provide Minimal-level Acquisition Records (MINAR) which include :

• Descriptive cataloging (AACR)
• Authority File Verification of main entry and series
• One or two-letter LC Call Number
• Three-number Dewey Class

All records have been prepared with book-in-hand, except for very expensive titles or dissertations which are only published "on demand". Options offered for this service are :

1. E-NOTICES : Minimal-level Acquisition Records (MINAR), are provided free of charge every 15 days via e-mail attachment in html format. Easily printed for selection review, this same selection file may be reviewed on our website through a URL link. The website list may be used for quick order entry.

2. PRINTED NOTICES :   Minimal-level Acquisition Records (MINAR), are provided on individually printed slips every month via regular mail.

For titles supplied on the Aux Amateurs de Livres' Approval Plans, ordered via our website or EDI orders, the fee for these Full-level MARC records is € 5.50/record.

For titles supplied in response to all other types of orders, the fee for these Full-level MARC records is € 7.50/record.
